HAPPY NEW YEAR …So on the Eve on a challenging 12 months and hours before a hopefully better year for everyone starts this is the first blog I post on this brand new project. As one of one the event directors I acknowledge the challenge of staging an event of this scale poses in these difficult times. As the situation changes and we recover as a nation I’m looking forward to a more settled period. The London to Brighton Electric Vehicle Rally will be another positive step in that process and a welcome addition to the South East’s diary of events. The route has been agreed, the venues have been booked and the stage is set for this exciting new event.
December saw Tom Druitt, Anna Fisher and The Big Lemon team launch the Rally. We are all delighted to be announcing both the main event and also a series of networking events. All associated with this groundbreaking new rally.
Interest has been huge and we’ve already signed up a number of participants and individuals wanting to take part. We are also in the process of negotiating sponsorships, partnerships and affiliations. There will be some huge news on that very soon.
The ethos behind the rally is that it must be an inclusive event that showcases ingenuity and cutting edge technology. Profiling new industry developments, grassroots involvement, clubs and associations dedicated to a more sustainable way of motoring. Commercial vehicles , public transport and other ways of just getting around will be highlighted. That along with other sustainable activities that can improve domestic transport.
The Evillage that we are building will be a great place to showcase sustainable ideas, enjoy a meeting of minds and enjoy our hospitality. Summer in Brighton is always fun and we can guarantee that there will be plenty to see and do.
Please get in touch if you would like more information or would like to get involved. We’d be happy to have you on board.
Happy New Year
